Really love the size of the sessions and that it's go at your own pace. The space has helped me to let go of my fears about going to gyms.

I had such a great experience at Asquared Fitness. What stood out to me the most wasn’t even just the fitness side of things, it was the environment. You can genuinely feel the sense of community the moment you walk in. Everyone is welcoming, supportive, and there’s no pressure to “fit in” or be at a certain level.
It also felt really meaningful to be in a space where people can show up comfortably as themselves while focusing on their health and wellness. It’s rare to find spaces that feel both motivating and safe at the same time.
Definitely grateful for the experience and looking forward to going back!

This guy gets it. Fitness should be a space to feel empowered and A-Squared get it. I suffer from a range of mobility challenges and have often been pushed too hard by other trainers. However with Stévia I get proper support and have been able to lose over 30lbs with guidance and proper training techniques. I’ve stuck with weight-lifting longer than I ever have before! Highly recommend!

Life changing support! Stevie is a very supportive personal trainer who meets you exactly where you are at, to take you where your goal are! I could not have met my Weight loss goal without the support I have received from Asquared Fitness! Before and after wearing the same suit.

Prior to Asquared Fitness, I was working out alone and often in pain. I was adamant on not working with trainers due to safety concerns as I am a fat, Queer and Trans Person of Colour. I have been somewhat active (strength training and playing soccer) last year. Throughout last year I’ve learned I have mild scoliosis, tight and weak hips/ glutes which lead to a baker’s cyst in my knees, ITBS and diagnosed with gallstones. That year in fall, I was invited to Asquared Fitness’ group session by a friend. I immediately felt welcomed and safe as I saw other Queer and Trans, People of Colour with various body types.

The co-founder and lead trainer, Stévia is a bubbly person and made sure to make me feel comfortable by checking in for pain, consent to touch and answering any questions I had in regards to anatomy/ exercise between anecdotes and humour. Stévia had noticed my muscle weaknesses and altered the workout to fit my body’s needs. The alternative exercises were the ones my physiotherapist had recommended, which convinced me to trust Asquared Fitness and have Stévia as my personal trainer.

I have been working with Stévia for about 5 months now, working on easing back into being active from gallbladder removal post-operation, mobility and athletic training. I noticed improvements in my hips/ glutes mobility, posture and unintentional body recomposition which was an unexpected bonus and I have Stévia to thank for that! The space is intimate and great for private sessions as it’s not as intimidating as public/ community gyms.

Stévia is well versed as a certified personal trainer and takes pride in prioritizing safety (both physical and mental), honouring your goals and taking a collaborative approach with sessions. He understands how controlling and unsafe gym/ fitness culture is for bodies have been historically policed and subjugated to violence. I think it’s rare to find certified trainers with high levels of awareness, knowledge and passion in this field like Stévia. Stevia’s an integral part of my journey to feel at home in my body again and I’m grateful he’s the one to change my adamancy with trainers. If my review resonates with you in any capacity then I urge you to give Asquared Fitness a try.

Been coming to Stévia for over a year and have been very happy with the results on my fitness! I initially came to strengthen my chest before top surgery and the workouts and plan have been very helpful on recovery

If you've been meaning to find a personal trainer and don't know where to start, Asquared Fitness is where you need to go.

I have carpal tunnel and plantar fasciitis, Stévia is mindful of the disabilities/injuries that I have, and always has a modified version to keep me working without overworking my body's limits.

Last summer I recently joined a local soccer league after not playing the sport for over 15 years. Stévia helped me work on gaining stamina so I could run better. I definitely saw an improvement since the start and the end of the season.

I also noticed I lost a bit of weight and have definitely put on some muscle - which is another goal of mine!

This is a thoughtfully developed, supportive space to move. As someone that hates going to the gym, I look forward to moving in this private space under the guidance of Stevia. It is equipped with everything you need, bright and clean!
